Two TARGAs to one stereoscope red&blue 3d TARGA converter (exact date 22.01.94)

WARNING!
This program is useless if you don't have red&blue glasses
Creating static pictures:
To create a good looking stereo 3d picture you should use one of
those raytracers or renderers which are available everywhere
(for example RayShade386, Autodesk 3d Studio etc.). In some
of them there is an option 'stereo' and an ability to create
two images for left and right eye from one point of view. If there
is not, you should create yourself two parallel cameras (two eyes)
in some distance and render (raytrace) the view from them separately.
Very important is to write the images in TARGA format (compressed
or not) in 24 bit color mode (this is the same as RLE format in
RayShade386).
So, you have two images (they should be a bit different).
Then simply run
TGA3d <left_eye_filename> <right_eye_filename> <output_filename>
and after the successful convertion output_filaname should be a
TARGA picture, easy to display or change to gif, pcx or ... by
for example Alchemy.
Creating animations:
The idea is the same, but you should create the sequence of images
in TARGA format named by prefix and the frame number (for example:
from deml0010.tga to deml0030.tga - for left eye, demr0010.tga to
from demr0030.tga - for right eye) and run (in our example)
TGA3d -n21 -b10 -d deml0010.tga demr0010.tga demo.tga
which will generate the sequence from demo0010.tga to demo0020.tga
and delete (-d option) all files from deml0010.tga to deml0030.tga and
from demr0010.tga to demr0030.tga.
Now the animation question has to be solved by TGAFLI (it will generate
fli file from demo sequence) or any other animation generator (all
of them always have an ability to read TARGA format).

Notice that there are not any resolution limitations (besides your
disk space and the time) and that the program itself needs only
64k of free memory to run.
Thanks for using and a right decision to registrate TGA3d.
